terms of use
last updated 23 october 2026
the app
anyways is a personal journal for hobbies and projects. it’s built for iphone and android and isn’t available yet; these terms apply once it is.
free and paid plans
- the free plan includes 3 active personal projects. joining someone else’s shared project doesn’t use one, but hosting one needs a paid plan.
- paid plans are auto-renewing subscriptions, billed monthly or yearly: pairing usd 2.99 a month or usd 29.90 a year, group usd 4.99 or usd 49.90, club usd 9.99 or usd 99.90, and club plus usd 14.99 or usd 149.90. a year costs the same as 10 months. extra seats on pairing, group, and club cost usd 0.99 a month or usd 9.90 a year each, and club plus packs cost usd 5.99 a month or usd 59.90 a year each. extra seats change your plan’s subscription instead of adding a separate one. each plan’s limits are listed on soanyways.app. the app store or google play shows the price for your region before you confirm.
- payment is charged to your apple account or google account when you confirm, and the plan renews at the end of each month or year until you cancel. on iphone, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends, in your apple account settings. on android, cancel any time in google play subscriptions; the plan stays active until the period ends.
- refunds are handled by apple or google under their policies.
- if your subscription ends, nothing is deleted. your projects and their history stay, and you can finish or archive projects to get back under the free limit.
shared projects
- sharing is optional. depending on the host’s plan, a shared project holds up to 2, 5, 10, or 30 people including the host, or up to 3, 6, 12, or 110 with extra seats. display names aren’t verified, so only invite people you know.
- each invite link works once, for whoever uses it first, so don’t post it publicly.
- the host can stop sharing and anyone else can leave at any time.
- while a project is shared, everyone in it sees its description, your latest checkpoint, and a timeline of every checkpoint you save on it from then on, with its note, next step, and photo. your entries stay until you leave or the host stops sharing.
- on pairing, group, and club, up to 2, 5, or 10 people can share one subscription (3, 6, or 12 with extra seats), and each of them can host. on club plus, up to 5 people can host, or 9 with extra packs. each host’s shared projects stay separate from the others’, and the person who pays manages who’s on the plan.
- if a host’s plan lapses or is downgraded, or a host is removed, people can still read what’s shared, but new changes and joins pause until hosting is active again. nobody is removed.
- only share photos and gifs you have the right to share.
- don’t use names, descriptions, notes, next steps, photos, card backgrounds, or goal titles to harass anyone. shared projects used that way may be ended.
